Inchcape continue investment into customer experience with enhanced online system

, part of of the Inchcape group, providers of a complete automotive and financial services portfolio that is unrivalled in the industry, has continued its investment in its customers with the launch of an enhanced vehicle demonstrator booking process to its existing vehicle purchasing system. Available to all ’ clients, the system is accessible via a secure website and links the company directly to supplying retailers, manufacturers, fleet clients and drivers.

Demonstrator vehicles are sourced for customers either via parent company Inchcape’s nationwide franchise retail network or directly from vehicle manufacturers.

Inchcape Fleet Solutions’ Customer Services Director David Graham said: “The new fully automated demonstrator ordering system delivers significantly improved management controls and helps our customers to better track a vehicle’s delivery status.

“There will be no need for customers to contact us, a dealer or manufacturer to check on when a vehicle will be available and we will be able to arrange delivery of demonstrators in the shortest possible time, which further improves the overall customer experience.”

Customers simply log on and request a vehicle demonstrator and the order is sent directly to either a retailer or manufacturer.

With the introduction of the system for vehicle demonstrator booking, Inchcape Fleet Solutions is also using the business tool to update its existing online company car and van ordering process.

Mr Graham said: “Accurate information about vehicle specifications is provided to our customers more rapidly than by current methods. Once an order is placed it allows all involved parties, including the driver and/or fleet manager, to track each vehicle’s status through to delivery without reverting to telephone or email inquiries.”

Inchcape Fleet Solutions is also able to further improve its vehicle defleet processes, with the  vehicle audit trail at all parties fingertips.

Mr Graham explained: “Most demonstrators are ordered by drivers when their existing vehicle is approaching the end of its fleet life. By directly linking the delivery of vehicle demonstrators and the subsequent ordering of a new company vehicle, we can fully integrate the defleet process to eliminate contract extensions which cost clients money. The technology also allows us to maximise used vehicle sales opportunities as we can more accurately predict when defleeted models will be available.”
