M62 Ouse Bridge joint refurbishment

The Highways Agency will carry out repairs to a joint on Ouse Bridge which carries the between Junction 36 and 37 over the River Ouse, near Goole.

The work will require the closure of the M62 eastbound carriageway between Junction 36 and 37 on Saturday 29 January, between 8pm and 6am. During this time lane three will also be closed on the westbound carriageway.

There will be lane one and two closures eastbound overnight on Friday 28 and Sunday 30 January between 8pm and 6am.

During the eastbound M62 closure clearly signed diversion routes will be in place. Traffic will be diverted off the M62 at Junction 36 onto the A614 east towards Goole, continuing on the A614 north over the River Ouse at Boothferry Bridge to M62 Junction 37.

Highways Agency project manager, Sujad Hussian, said: “We are carrying out this work at night in order to minimise the disruption to drivers. We ask that drivers take extra care when travelling along the diversion route.”
