Registration opens for leading fleet event Arrive ‘N’ Drive

By John Simpson 28 February 2011

andlogoGoing on about record fuel prices and the prospect of them rising further isn’t going to cheer up anybody, but news of an upcoming free event, which showcases the latest and greatest vehicles for fuel-efficiency, might shift some positive spirits into gear.

Held on May 26 at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Northants, GreenFleet’s Arrive ‘N’ Drive is the number one event that champions the use of low and zero emission vehicles for fleets across the UK.

Featuring a massive range of products and services that help keep down running costs and CO² emissions of their transport operations, fleet managers will be spoilt for ideas on how to get a tighter grip of their operating costs.

Manufacturers such as Honda, Citroen, Peugeot, Ford, and Hyundai are all confirmed to attend with visitors set to take advantage of the rare opportunity to test drive Vauxhall’s dynamic range-extended electric car, the Ampera.

2011’s spectacle is guaranteed to be larger and louder than previous events with a Main Showcase Arena double the size of last year. Moving the arena to the larger outer paddock area will allow manufacturers to showcase more vehicles than ever before, meaning attendees will get the chance to test drive a bigger variety on the day.

"This year’s event will definitely be the biggest yet, and we're really excited with the number and range of different vehicles that will be there on the day,” says Colin Boyton, Marketing Manager of Arrive ‘N’ Drive.

“Add to that the quality of the attending delegates, the Arrive 'N' Drive is now the key date in the fleet calendar for those that want to reduce their running costs and carbon emissions."

The EV Arena will now be located in the heart of the Main Showcase Arena, and will have its own mini test drive circuit. Sponsors EDF Energy will be on hand to advise on recharging infrastructure issues  - a hot topic in electric vehicle rollout.

As well as taking in details  of the latest route tracking, fleet management and other fuel saving technologies, visitors will be able to take part in competitions to win special prizes including Garmin Sat Navs.

The Energy Saving Trust has also confirmed their attendance as the Smarter Driving Partner for the event, distributing advice on Smarter driving techniques that can help you save your organisation fuel and money.

The best part is, all of this is free. Click here to go through to the Arrive ‘N’ Drive website to register for your free pass. If you get on it quick enough, you stand the chance of winning a superb Garmin SatNav system at the event!

Arrive ‘N’ Drive takes place at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Corby, Northants on May 26, 2011.
