Lock up your Lexus

Lexus has been named the most frequently vandalised car in Britain in a new research poll.

Covering around 2,000 claims of malicious damage, insurer Swiftcover.com looked at which brands and models pop up most commonly in incidents of vandalism of cars on the road.

While most would expect BMW, Audi or Mercedes to be the prime target for green-eyed vandals, the IS came out tops with a Vehicle Vandalism index rating of 5.56.

Surprisingly, luxury and prestige brands were the focus for vandals with appearing four times in the top ten most targeted.

The slightly less glamorous Skoda Octavia popped up in the lower regions at number eight with a VV index of 4.09.

A spokesperson for SwiftCover.com advised owners of any of the mentioned models to try and park their vehicle away from the road or keep it covered overnight.
