Toilet+ saves more than a penny with Quartix vehicle tracking

Toilets+, one of the UK’s major portable toilet providers is saving up to £400 per month in fuel costs since implementing Quartex’s online vehicle tracking to 32 of its vehicles, with plans to equip the remainder of its 40 vehicle fleet with InfoPlus over the coming months.

Managing director Mick Bowman said: “Through the system we discovered some staff were reaching a site and leaving their vehicle’s engine running, often for very long periods.

“In fact, they are required to switch off and remove the ignition key on arrival.”

Quartix has supplied Toilet+’s transport fleet with online vehicle tracking.InfoPlus’s many real-time benefits include one-minute vehicle updates, tailored daily and weekly management reports, real-time geofencing alerts, speeding and driver behaviour reports, a vehicle route replay facility, a fleet management organiser, a system configuration control, and Google Maps with satellite view.

Toilets+ is particularly impressed with being able to guide vehicles to new sites using the Google mapping facility on the Quartix system.

“We also use the Quartix service to check drivers’ start and finish times to aid the monthly payroll. It is helpful for monitoring the bill from TFL for congestion charges as mistakes can be made,” Mr Bowman said.

Mick Bowman concluded: “We like Quartix’s transparent pricing and approach, and have always found the system reliable and easy to use. Furthermore, Quartix’s after-sales service is extremely good.”
