Ford and Innovation partner accident management programme
Ford of Britain has announced that Ford Accident Management will be launched in July 2011, with Innovation Group the strategic partner used to develop and deploy outsourced accident management and repair services that will be free to all new and used Ford vehicle drivers in the UK. regardless of their insurance company.
Innovation Group will handle all calls to Ford’s Accident Management helpline where Ford driver’s can look forward to repairs being carried out at their nearest Ford Accident Repair Centre using genuine Ford parts fitted by Ford trained technicians using Ford repair methods, regardless of their insurance company, and if eligible the use of a Ford courtesy car.
“This new partnership with Ford is a powerful endorsement of the comprehensive and high-value service which Innovation Group can deliver to global motor manufacturers and fleet operators. Innovation Group brings new levels of integration and technology to the claims management supply chain which means closer communication between motor manufacturers, fleet operators, insurers and repair networks,” said Simon Hall, Director of UK Motor, Innovation Group.
Unlike existing "accident management" programmes Ford’s programme does not allow personal injury referral fees to be paid and there are no credit hire or credit repair agreements for customers to sign.

Working alongside Innovation Group will not only allow us to work towards reducing the total cost of claims on Ford vehicles but also explore other business opportunities within the automotive sector. We will be including a smart phone application, developed for us by The White Room Consortium, which will help us engage with the younger generations of Ford owners” said Paul McDermott, Manager, Collision Repair, Ford UK.
