City Link hook up with GreenRoad
Express delivery company City Link has adopted slicker and safer operations thanks to the integration of GreenRoad 360.
The folks at City Link say they went with GreenRoad due to the greater potential they opened up for reduced fuel consumption, road incidents and general wear-and-tear of vehicles.
All 14 depots have gone live with the system which gives giving drivers feedback on their behaviour and habits behind the wheel.
This has sparked a significant drop in potentially hazardous driver behaviour from its 280 vans and City Link expects to spend considerably less on fuel this year as a result of better driving habits.
Aidan Rowsome, General Manager of GreenRoad Europe, said: “Since the launch of our idling solution, we are seeing a dramatic increase in interest from service delivery fleets that are looking to cut the high fuel bills associated with multi-drop deliveries.
“The combination of low emission zone legislation, rising fuel costs and rising insurance premiums makes GreenRoad’s service a win-win for fleets.”
