West Midlands Motorway And Trunk Roads Maintenance Programme 6 – 12 June 2011
M6 Junction 8 (M6 / M5 Interchange Ray Hall)
The southbound carriageway of the M6 at junction 8 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.30am from Thursday 9 June 2011 to Friday 10 June 2011 for electrical works as part of the Birmingham Box Managed Motorways scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
(Please note: the above works proposals are subject to change at short notice)
M6 Junction 6 (Gravelly Hill Interchange)
The link roads from the M6 northbound carriageway into Birmingham and to Salford Circus will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Saturday 11 June 2011 to Friday 1 July 2011 for bridge repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 2 (Ansty) to A46
The link road from the M6 junction 2 island onto the A46 southbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 6 June 2011 to Thursday 16 June 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works as part of the M6 junction 2 improvement scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. The main carriageway from the M69 southbound onto the A46 will remain open.
A46 Walsgrave Island (Coventry) to M6 Junction 2 (Ansty)
The northbound carriageway of the A46 between Walsgrave island and the M6 junction 2 island will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 6 June 2011 to Thursday 16 June 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works as part of the M6 junction 2 improvement scheme. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 1 (West Bromwich) to M6 Junction 8 (M5 / M6 Interchange Ray Hall)
The northbound carriageway of the M5 at junction 1 to the M6 at junction 8 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Saturday 11 June 2011 to Sunday 12 June 2011 for safety fence and bridge repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 5 (Solihull)
The southbound exit and entry slip roads of the M42 at junction 5 will be closed overnight from 9.30pm to 5.00am from Monday 6 June 2011 to Wednesday 8 June 2011 for sign / signal upgrades. A diversion route will be clearly signposted. The closures will not take place at the same time as each other.
M42 Junction 5 (Solihull)
The southbound exit slip road of the M42 at junction 5 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Thursday 9 June 2011 to Saturday 11 June 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works (as part of junction 5 improvement scheme). A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M50 Junction 4 (Ross On Wye) to Junction 2 (Ledbury)
The eastbound carriageway of the M50 between junction 4 and junction 2 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 5.30am from Monday 6 June 2011 to Saturday 11 June 2011 for the renewal of road markings and road studs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 Alrewas
The northbound exit slip road of the A38 at Alrewas will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Thursday 9 June 2011 to Saturday 11 June 2011 for surveys and inspections. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 (A46 / A45 Interchange, Stivichal near Coventry)
The southbound entry slip road from Stivichal Island onto the A46 will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 8 June 2011 to Friday 10 June 2011 for surveys and inspections. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A50 Meir
The eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A50 at Meir Tunnel will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 8 June 2011 to Friday 10 June 2011 for essential repairs and routine maintenance activities. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
