25 years and counting for Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions

has clocked up a quarter of a century in the fleet leasing trade, providing tailored services to car and commercial vehicle fleets.

Starting out with just five employees, 25 years on, Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions now has over 260 members of staff on its books and a commercial vehicle division in Trowbridge and a driving instructor vehicle leasing centre in Leicester.

The company also boasts an annual turnover of £250m.

To celebrate, staff were treated to a day at the races at Newbury Racecourse last week, with afternoon tea, food, drink and free racing bets laid on by Hitachi Capital.

“It was a great pleasure to offer our staff and their families a fun day of celebrations at one of Newbury’s most famous locations,” said Simon Oliphant, CEO at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions.

“We really appreciate the hard work and effort they commit to the business and believe they are a testament to our longevity as a company.

“We are very much looking forward to another 25 years!”

The announcement comes days after Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions integrated Experteye’s Touchpoint system to collect feedback from drivers, monitor satisfaction as well as identify any common concerns and gripes.

Tim Bowden, Head of Operations at Hitachi Capital, said: “We chose Touchpoint for our Driver and Customer satisfaction programme because it provides extremely high levels of flexibility, allowing us to tailor questions to drivers that are relevant and meaningful, as well as providing the ability to extend surveys to fleet managers on other critical areas of service and contract delivery.”
