North East roadworks update August 20 to 26 2011
A1(M), Junction 62, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1(M) at Junction 62 for electrical works. There will be lane closures in place on the roundabout between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works will take place 22 August.
A1, Denton Burn Interchange, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Denton Burn for survey works. There will be one lane open on the northbound entry slip between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 22 – 23 August.
A1, Westerhope Interchange, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Westerhope for survey works. There will be one lane open on the northbound entry slip between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 23 – 24 August.
A1, Kingsway Interchange, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Kingsway for survey works. There will be one lane open on the northbound entry slip between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 25 – 26 August.
A1, Morpeth to Seaton Burn, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Morpeth and Seaton Burn for road marking works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place southbound 17 – 22 August.
A1, Seaton Burn to North Brunton, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Seaton Burn and North Brunton for resurfacing works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 22 – 25 August.
A1, Mousen to Belford, Northumberland
Delays are expected on the A1 between Mousen and Belford for carriageway resurfacing works. There will be convoy working in place and a 10mph speed limit north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 24 – 26 August.
A1, Alnwick to Newton on the Moor, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Alnwick and Newton on the Moor for resurfacing and construction works. There will be a 24 hour contraflow and lane closures in place north and southbound. The works will take place until October.
A1 Dishforth (Junction 49) to Leeming, North Yorkshire
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Dishforth (Junction 49) and Leeming (A684) for upgrading works. There will be narrow lanes, a contraflow and a 50mph speed limit operating 24 hours for full length of scheme both north and southbound.
Works will be ongoing until Spring 2012.
A19, Holystone to Wallsend Interchange, North Tyneside
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A19 between Holystone and Wallsend Interchanges for widening works at the Silverlink roundabout. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until September.
A194M/A184, Whitemare Pool, South Tyneside
Delays are expected on the A184 at the Whitemare Pool Interchange for bridge works. There will be a contraflow in operation on the westbound carriageway and a 30mph speed restriction on the roundabout approaches. Works will take place until August 2011. On occasions it may be necessary to close the roundabout overnight from 7.30pm to 6.30am Monday to Friday. Should the roundabout be closed traffic will be diverted along the A184 to either Heworth or Testos roundabout.
