Renault keeps Edinburgh Festival on the move
Renault has been playing a big role at the Edinburgh International Festival as the event’s official car partner.
For the 15th year running, the French manufacturer has supplied some of its bulkier and prestigious vehicles for getting performers and artists around the Scottish city during the festival which continues until 4 September.
The nine Espaces, seven Grand Scénic, six Kangoo vans and two Trafic vans have been heaped with praise from the festival’s organisers to mezzo-sopranos such as Joyce DiDonato.
Mrs DiDonato, who is on tour for 11 month a year, said the “luxuriously comfortable cars” eased stress before her shows.
“One cannot underestimate what it means to be welcomed into the lap of luxury after a long international flight, nor can one downplay the effect is has on my performance,” she said.
“Renault are doing a wonderful thing to help touch many people during this unique and world-class festival.”
Jonathan Mills, Festival Director, also spoke highly of Renault’s contribution to the event.
“As soon as I see the fleet of Renaults criss-crossing the city I know that it’s festival time, and that our artists and other VIPs will be arriving on time and relaxed,” he beamed.
“It’s not just the world-leading performers who need to get around quickly and safely. Whether it’s for a priceless violin, or an irreplaceable costume, Renault is the way to travel.”
Mandy Hopkins, PR Manager for Renault UK, said: “Renault is famed for safe, comfortable and stylish cars, making them the perfect choice for performers who need to ensure their environment is as relaxed as possible, whether they’re about to perform or have just come offstage.”
