Highways Agency to begin resurfacing works on the A46 at Skellingthorpe, Doddington and Carholme Roundabouts
The Highways Agency will begin resurfacing works as part of ongoing maintenance of the A46 at Skellingthorpe, Doddington and Carholme Roundabouts and their approaches and exits.
The works, which are due to start on 12 September and finish on 17 September, will improve safety and conditions for road users at the roundabouts. All activity will take place overnight between 8pm and 6am to minimise disruptions for road users. During the works the A46 will be closed between the Doddington and Riseholme Roundabout. Diversion routes will be fully signposted.
Debraj De, Highways Agency project sponsor, said:
“These essential maintenance works will also improve safety for road users. We will endeavour to complete this necessary work as quickly and efficiently as possible, and we are carrying it out overnight to reduce the impact on motorists.
“When completed, motorists will benefit from a safer road, as well as a smoother and quieter drive.”
