Kia dives in to help ‘red nose’ Walliams
Kia is playing its part in David Walliams’ latest gruelling physical challenge in name of charity.
The Little Britain and Rock Profile comedian is currently undertaking an eight day, 140 mile swim from Lechlade in Gloucestershire to Big Ben in London for the BT Sport Relief Challenge which has been aptly titled ‘Walliams vs The Thames’.
Eager to help Walliams during his latest test, Kia has supplied a Sedona multi-purpose vehicle for David’s crew.
Michael Cole, MD of Kia Motors UK, said: “It has been a privilege for Kia to be involved with the last two Red Nose Day campaigns, so it took no time at all to decide to help David when the appeal came out to us.
“What David is doing is both dangerous and challenging but will hopefully raise as much money as possible for Sport Relief.”
Walliams began the swim yesterday [5 September] and is expected to arrive in the Thames next Tuesday [13 September]. A documentary of the challenge will be shown in the build-up to the Sport Relief Weekend on March 23-25 next year.
