North East roadworks update: 17 to 23 September 2011
A1(M), Junction 58, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1(M) at Junction 58 for white lining works. There will be a full southbound carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 19 – 24 September.
A1(M), Junction 62, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1(M) at Junction 62 for survey works. There will be one lane open on the roundabout between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 19 – 20 September.
A1, Tritlington to Felton, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Tritlington and Felton for road marking works. There will be convoy working in place and a 10mph speed limit north and southbound between 7pm and 8am. The works will take place until 26 September.
A1, East Ord, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at East Ord for resurfacing works. There will be convoy working in place and a 10mph speed limit north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 27 – 29 September
A1, North Charlton, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at North Charlton for survey works. There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound from 8am and 5pm. The works will take place 19 – 23 September
A1, Alnwick to Newton on the Moor, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Alnwick and Newton on the Moor for resurfacing and construction works. There will be a 24 hour contraflow and lane closures in place north and southbound. The works will take place until November.
A1 Dishforth (Junction 49) to Leeming, North Yorkshire
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Dishforth (Junction 49) and Leeming (A684) for upgrading works. There will be narrow lanes, a contraflow and a 50mph speed limit operating 24 hours for full length of scheme both north and southbound. Works will be ongoing until Spring 2012.
A194(M) Follingsby Interchange to Whitemare
Pool Slight delays are expected on the A194(M) from Follingsby Interchange to Whitemare Pool due to The Great North Run. There will be 2 lanes open northbound from 8am to 3pm.
A184 Whitemare Pool to Testos Roundabout
Moderate delays are expected on the A184 between Whitemare Pool and Testos Roundabout for resurfacing works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place eastbound 19 – 26 September and westbound 27 September – 4 October.
A19, Holystone to Wallsend Interchange, North Tyneside
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A19 between Holystone and Wallsend Interchanges for widening works at the Silverlink roundabout. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until September. There will also be a full closure of the southbound exit slip at Wallsend with diversion in place 8pm to 6am for sign works from 23 September to 1 October.
