North East roadworks update: 24 to 30 September 2011
A1, Blaydon Bridge, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1at Blaydon Bridge for maintenance works. There will be a carriageway closure with diversion in place north or southbound from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place southbound 24 September to 5 October and northbound 5 – 17 October.
A1(M), Junction 63 to 65, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1(M) between Junctions 63 and 65 for resurfacing and lining works. There will lane closures in place north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 26 September – 6 October.
A1, Birtley Interchange, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne and Wear
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at Birtley Interchange for technology works. There will be a full closure of the northbound entry slip and a lane closure on the main carriageway between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 26 September to 1 October and 10 to 15 October.
A1(M), Junction 59, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1(M) at Junction 59 for resurfacing works. There will be a full southbound carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 26 – 27 September.
A1(M), Junction 59 to 60, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A1(M) between Junction 59 and 60 for resurfacing works. There will be a full northbound carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 27 – 30 September.
A1, Tritlington to Felton, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Tritlington and Felton for road marking works. There will be convoy working in place and a 10mph speed limit north and southbound between 7pm and 8am. The works will take place until 26 September.
A1, Alnwick to Newton on the Moor, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Alnwick and Newton on the Moor for resurfacing and construction works. There will be a 24 hour contraflow and lane closures in place north and southbound. The works will take place until November.
A1, East Ord, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at East Ord for resurfacing works. There will be convoy working in place and a 10mph speed limit north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 27 – 29 September.
A1 Dishforth (Junction 49) to Leeming, North Yorkshire
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Dishforth (Junction 49) and Leeming (A684) for upgrading works. There will be narrow lanes, a contraflow and a 50mph speed limit operating 24 hours for full length of scheme both north and southbound.
Works will be ongoing until Spring 2012.
A184 Whitemare Pool to Testos Roundabout
Moderate delays are expected on the A184 between Whitemare Pool and Testos Roundabout for resurfacing works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place eastbound 19 – 26 September and westbound 27 September – 4 October.
A19, Wallsend Interchange, North Tyneside
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A19 at Wallsend Interchange for sign works. There will be a full closure of the southbound exit slip road between 8am and 6am. The works will take place 30 September to 1 October.
