Highways Agency to improve safety on the A46

Road users will benefit from safer driving conditions as a result of forthcoming road marking and stud renewal works on a 2.5 mile stretch on the southbound carriageway of the , between M40 Junction 15 to Stoneleigh Road Junction.

Work is due to start on Monday 10th October and is due to finish on Friday 21 October. During the works, one lane will remain open to traffic and all activity will take place overnight from 8pm to 6am to minimise disruption for road users.
Purnima Kaul, Highways Agency project manager, said:

"This essential work will improve driving conditions for motorists. The work has been carefully planned to keep disruption to a minimum, and so is being carried out overnight, when traffic flows are lowest. We do advise drivers however to check conditions and leave extra time for their journeys if necessary."
