Yorkshire and the Humber Roadworks Update 05/10/2011
Saturday 8 October to Friday 14 October
M18 / M1, Junction 32 (Thurcroft), east of Sheffield
Slight delays are expected on the M18 at the junction with the M1 (Junction 32, Thurcroft) due to barrier works. There will be various lane closures and hard shoulder running on the link road from the M1 southbound to the M18 northbound from 10 October to 22 October between 8pm and 6am.
M18, Junction 5 (North Ings) to Junction 6 (Thorne), north west of Doncaster
Moderate delays are expected on the M18 between Junction 5 (North Ings) and Junction 6 (Thorne) due to renewal of road studs and road marking. There will be various overnight slip road and lane closures on the northbound carriageway from 11 to 14 October, with signed diversions in place. In addition, the northbound carriageway will be fully closed overnight on 12 October between the exit and entry slip roads at Junction 5, with a signed diversion over the junction. All closures take place from 8pm to 6am.
M62, Junction 27 (Gildersome) to Junction 28 (Tingley), south of Leeds
Moderate delays are expected on the M62 between Junction 27 (Gildersome) and Junction 28 (Tingley) due to site clearance and installation of traffic management. The hard shoulder will be closed and there will be three narrow lanes in each direction with a 50mph speed limit over 24 hours. In addition, there will be various overnight slip road and lane closures between 8pm and 6am.
M62, Junction 22 (Rishworth Moor) to Junction 23 (Outlane), west of Huddersfield
Slight delays are expected on the M62 between Junction 22 (Rishworth Moor) and Junction 23 (Outlane) due to bridge work. Two lanes in both directions will be closed overnight on 10 October between 8pm and 6am for the installation of temporary barriers.
M62, Junction 34 (Whitley Bridge) to Junction 35 (Langham), west of Goole
Moderate delays are expected on the M62 between Junction 34 (Whitley Bridge) and Junction 35 (Langham) due to resurfacing. The eastbound carriageway will be closed from 11 to 15 October between 8pm and 6am. A signed diversion will operate via the local road network.
M606, Junction 1 (Chain Bar), south of Bradford
Moderate delays are expected on the M606 at Junction 1 (Chain Bar) due to bridge works. The northbound entry slip road will be closed from 3 to 10 October between 8pm and 6am. A signed diversion operates via the M62.
M62, Junction 37 (Howden) to A63 South Cave, Hull
Severe delays are expected between Junction 37 of the M62 (Howden) and the A63 South Cave in Hull due to temporary diversions required to carry out carriageway renewal works. The westbound carriageway will be closed over the weekend from 8pm on Friday 7 October until 6am on Monday 10 October, and overnight for two nights on Monday 10 October and Tuesday 11 October from 8pm to 6am. The eastbound carriageway will then be closed overnight from 8pm on Wednesday 12 October until 6am on Thursday 13 October. Signed diversions will operate via the local road network.
A63, Myton Bridge, Hull
Severe delays are expected on the A63 in Hull due to maintenance work on Myton Bridge. The westbound carriageway between Alexandra Dock and Market Place and the eastbound carriageway between Market Place and Garrison Road will be closed on 9 October between 6am and 2pm. A signed diversion will operate via the local road network.
A64, Malton to Staxton, north west of York
Severe delays are expected on the A64 between Malton and Staxton due to resurfacing. There will be various lane closures, convoy working and a 10mph speed limit in both directions between East Heslerton and Sherburn between 7pm and 7am, and traffic signals between 9.30am and 3.30pm, from 12 October to 19 November.
At Ganton, there will be traffic signals between 9.30am and 3.30pm, convoy working, various lane closures and a 10mph speed limit in both directions between 8pm and 6am until 1 December.
In addition, the A64 will be closed in both directions between Malton and Staxton from 8pm on 7 October until 6am on 10 October. A signed diversion will operate via the local road network.
A64, Tadcaster, south west of York
Slight delays are expected on the A64 at Tadcaster due to resurfacing. The westbound exit slip and one lane westbound on the main carriageway will be closed from 10 to 15 October between 8pm and 6am. A signed diversion will operate via the local road network.
A180, Brocklesby, west of Grimsby
Moderate delays are expected on the A180 at Brocklesby due to resurfacing, layby improvements, road marking and road stud renewal. The westbound carriageway will be closed from 8pm on 7 October until 8pm on 10 October with a signed diversion via the local road network.
