North East roadworks update 15 – 21 October 2011
A1, Blaydon Bridge, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1at Blaydon Bridge for maintenance works. There will be a carriageway closure with diversion in place north or southbound from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place northbound 5 – 17 October.
A1, Alnwick to Newton on the Moor, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Alnwick and Newton on the Moor for resurfacing and construction works. There will be a 24 hour contraflow and lane closures in place north and southbound. The works will take place until November.
A1, Scotch Corner to Leeming, North Yorkshire
Delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Scotch Corner and Leeming for lining and stud renewal works. There will be a full closure of the carriageway both north and southbound with diversion in place from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 10 – 29 October.
A66, Blackwell to Blands Corner, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 between Blackwell and Blands Corner for footpath renewal works. There will be traffic signals in place east and westbound between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works will take place 17 – 29 October.
A66, Cross Lane to Rokeby, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 between Cross Lanes and Rokeby for resurfacing works. There will be convoy working in operation east and westbound between 8pm and 6am. Some diversions will be in place and these will be clearly signed. The works will take place until 26 October.
A66, Bowes, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 at Bowes for CCTV works. There will be one lane open east and westbound between 9am and 4pm. The works will take place
17 October – 11 November.
