GEM launch free breakdown-busting app

Breaking down could become less stressful thanks to a new smartphone released by Motoring Assist.

Available for iPhone and Android devices, the free app includes massively helpful tools that can help drivers potentially avoid traffic delays as well as make a breakdown in an unfamiliar place not so scary.

The Traffic Updates function uses GPS to flag up nearby traffic delays while the ‘Assist Me’ pinpoints the location of stranded GEM members before calling through to the breakdown service.

‘My Renewals’ acts as a diary for those important renewal dates too, from car insurance to MOT.

David Williams, CEO of GEM Motoring Assist, commented: “We are delighted to be launching this new App as we continue to offer our customers the best breakdown service we can.

“The ‘Assist Me’ button will be very effective when it comes to responding quickly to breakdown situations and can only improve our service even more”.
