North East Roadworks update 27/10/2011

A1, Dunston Interchange, Newcastle Gateshead Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Dunston for remedial works. There will be a full closure of the northbound on and off slip roads with diversions in place from 8pm to 6am, the works will take place 31 October to 2 November. There will also be one lane open on the main carriageway, this will take place 8pm to 6am, 2 – 4 November.
A1(M), Bishop Middleham, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Bishop Middleham for sign maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 1 – 2 November.
A1(M), Junction 59, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 59 for sign maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 2 – 3 November.
A1(M), Junction 57, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 57 for sign maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 31 October – 1 November.
A1(M), Junction 56, North Yorkshire
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 56 for sign maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 3 – 4 November.
A1(M) Capri Lodge to Blackwood Hall, near Morpeth
Overnight closures will be in place with signed diversions in place for resurfacing and replacement of road studs and road markings. The works will take place between 31 October and December.
A1, Alnwick to Newton on the Moor, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Alnwick and Newton on the Moor for resurfacing and construction works. There will be a 24 hour contraflow and lane closures in place north and southbound. The works will take place until November.
A1 Baldersby (Junction 50) to Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Baldersby (Junction 50) and Leeming Bar (A684) for upgrading works. There will be narrow lanes, a contraflow and a 50mph speed limit operating 24 hours for full length of scheme both north and southbound. Works will be ongoing until Spring 2012.
A1, Scremeston to East Ord, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Scremeston and East Ord for survey works. There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place until 3 November.
A66, Cross Lane to Rokeby, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 between Cross Lanes and Rokeby for resurfacing works. There will be convoy working in operation east and westbound between 8pm and 6am. Some diversions will be in place and these will be clearly signed. The works will take place until 2 November
A1, Warrenerers House to Tritlington, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Warreners House and Hebron. A closure of either the northbound or southbound carriageway will be required with traffic diverted via High Laws and the A697. Subsequent resurfacing works between Hebron and Tritlington will be carried out under traffic signals and convoy working with a 10mph speed limit in place. All works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am, 31 October – 16 November.
A194(M), Follingsby, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A194(M) at Follingsby for sign maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 3 – 4 November.
