Paragon extends Jaguar Land Rover handover facility
Paragon Fleet Solutions will be able to handover more cars following an extension and refurbishment of its Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) handover site.
The upgraded site at Swallowfield Farm in Warwickshire will allow the fleet vehicle processing and management company to offer a better quality experience for JLR employees by keeping down-time for all Paragon-managed JLR company vehicles to a minimum.
Aside from carrying out final inspections before vehicles are handed back to JLR employees, the Swallowfield facility will also act as a base for returning vehicles before being shipped off to a specialist refurbishment centre in Corby ahead of resale.
Andrew Hetzel, MD of Paragon Fleet Solutions, said the site upgrade was a natural progression for the group’s two-year relationship with JLR.
He explained: “The extension at Swallowfield is the result of a significant increase in the supply of JLR vehicles to Paragon due to the company’s exciting and rapid growth over the last couple of years.
“Having a dedicated Jaguar Land Rover site and management team at Swallowfield will ensure that JLR staff experience the most efficient and streamlined handover process, minimising down-time and providing a high quality experience.”
Jobs boost
Jaguar Land Rover has undergone an extension of its own this week with the creation of over 1,000 jobs at its Solihull plant.
The announcement to up its workforce by more than a quarter marks JLR’s most ambitious growth plan in recent times.
Des Thurlby, HR Director at JLR, said the move was great news for Solihull and anticipated an avalanche of applications.
