CO2 hits new lows for Lex Autolease
Lex Autolease has achieved one of the most environmentally friendly fleets in Britain after cutting overall average CO2 emissions to 132.7g/km.
This is made all the more impressive considering Lex Autolease’s fleet includes over 300,000 vehicles.
Mark Chessman, Commercial Director with responsibility for sustainability, said the fleet management and funding specialist has managed to limbo the industry average by nearly 6g (138.5g/km) and this is down to guiding customers with consultancy advice and dedicated fleet managers.
“Using environmental best practice is a great way to lower overall fleet costs,” he explained.
“But it’s important to keep pushing the boundaries in order to mitigate against the impact of strengthening CO2 legislation on corporation tax, BIK and other levies such as VAT and National Insurance.”
Lex’s new initiatives have made good use of technology with ‘The Green’ interactive online portal, an online whole life cost quoting tool and mobile app all propping up recently.
Free customer workshops addressing fuel consumption and CO2 within fleets have also helped Lex Autolease shift fleet operators towards greener fleets.
Lex Autolease claims to operate 1 in every 100 cars on UK roads.
