Emergency Services Show opens in Coventry

The annual Emergency Services Show returns for its sixth year today at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry. The two day event, running from November 23 to 24, 2011, is now a recognised key event for anyone involved in planning, response or recovery with the emergency services, in both the UK and abroad.

Exhibitors will be displaying all manner of products and services including: personal protective equipment, communications and IT, first response equipment, station equipment, training and education, vehicles and vehicle equipment, medical equipment, business continuity and outsourcing.

A number of exhibitors will also be carrying out live demonstrations and product launches throughout the two days of the show including: Derbyshire Fire and Rescue, Amputees in Action, The College of Paramedics and Angloco. Derbyshire Fire and Rescue will be showcasing its new ‘Transformer’ vehicle that has been designed by students at the University of Derby as a training rig for firefighters; whilst The College of Paramedics will be running a series of CPD accredited events throughout the show.

Visitors can also witness live demonstrations from Amputees in Action showcasing their ability to put the ‘shock factor’ into simulations designed for all aspects of medical training, whilst Angloco will be unveiling Rosenbauer’s new B Type fire vehicle, designed exclusively for the UK Fire and Rescue market.

Additionally, this year’s conference will be a one day event taking place on today (Wednesday 23 November); and will feature high profile speakers covering a number of challenging subjects, with a choice of sessions aimed at senior management and all professional and non-professional operational emergency responders involved in facilitating the planning, response and recovery process in multi agency incidents. The conference is CPD certified.

Exhibitors include BOC Healthcare, Auto Sock, the Association of First Aiders, British Fire Services Association, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue,Health Protection Agency, Jaguar, Land Rover, HM Coastguard, Medical Gas Solutions Ltd, Mountain Bike Search and Rescue and WEL Medical Ltd to name a few.
