SEAT expands Fleet & Business team
Spanish car maker SEAT is continuing its assault on the fleet sector by expanding its Fleet & Business Sales Team.
As the brand seeks to increase its share of fleet and business sales, it hopes its new fleet sales team which has doubled from four Managers to eight, will help it deliver excellent customer service and boost brand loyalty.
Led by new Head of Fleet Steve Robertson, ably assisted by National Fleet Sales Manager Sally Livingstone-Dennis, the full team including administrators and support staff now numbers 18 – a six-fold expansion since 2008.
So far the investment appears to be paying off as the car maker achieved a record 1.9 per cent fleet market share in official year to date (end of November) figures from SMMT. That equates to 17,946 cars-an increase of 20 per cent or around 3,000 cars, on the same period in 2010 and comes in a fleet market that’s up just over four per cent this year.
Aside from broadening its fleet team SEAT is also improving its expertise by developing additional roles to focus on precise customer needs. A Specialist Sales Manager is dedicated to so-called ‘blue light’, taxi, chauffeur and conversion markets, while a Key Account Manager focuses on larger end user fleets operating 500+ vehicles. Most recently, SEAT has also added a dedicated Fleet Aftersales Manager to offer the highest levels of care for business customers.
SEAT UK’s Steve Robertson said: “Investing in a major expansion of the fleet team in the way that we have should leave no one in any doubt how committed we are to our goals in this area of the market.
