Mazda snips CO2 for BIK benefit
Fleets can benefit from a drop in tax liability with two of Mazda’s now-cleaner models.
The 2.2-litre diesel Mazda6 163ps and 180ps models have seen CO2 emissions snipped by 2g to 140g/km, equating to a tax band demotion (or promotion, depends how you look at it) from F to E and a VED saving of £15 a year.
The 129ps versions have undergone a greater carbon cutback of 138 to 133g/km which results in a more appealing 19% BIK tax bracket.
The manual 1.5-litre petrol Mazda2 Sport been capped at 115g/km and now sits at a 16% BIK tax bracket, resulting more attractive tax bills for company car drivers.
Steve Jelliss, Mazda’s Fleet and Remarketing Director, said: “At a time when corporate and personal budgets are being squeezed, Mazda customers are able to benefit from cash savings through these emission cuts.
“The Mazda range is already well-known for its style, specification and reliability, and this development further enhances our value for money credentials.”
