Mazda snips CO2 for BIK benefit

The manual 1.5-litre petrol Mazda2 Sport been capped at 115g/km and now sits at a 16% BIK tax bracket, resulting more attractive tax bills for company car driversFleets can benefit from a drop in tax liability with two of Mazda’s now-cleaner models.

The 2.2-litre diesel Mazda6 163ps and 180ps models have seen CO2 emissions snipped by 2g to 140g/km, equating to a tax band demotion (or promotion, depends how you look at it) from F to E and a VED saving of £15 a year.

The 129ps versions have undergone a greater carbon cutback of 138 to 133g/km which results in a more appealing 19% tax bracket.
