West Midlands motorway and trunk roads maintenance programme: 19 December 2011 to 8 January 2012
M6 Junction 8 (M6 / M5 Interchange Ray Hall)
The southbound carriageway of the M6 at junction 8 will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 21 December 2011 to Friday 23 December 2011 for the installation of traffic sensors. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 5 (Castle Bromwich)
The southbound entry slip road of the M6 at junction 5 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 4 January 2012 to Monday 9 January 2012 for bridge inspections. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 4a (M6 / M42 Interchange)
The link roads from the M6 southbound carriageway at junction 4a to the M42 northbound and southbound carriageways will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 3 January 2012 to Monday 9 January 2012 for electrical works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M6 Junction 4 (Coleshill)
The link road from the M6 northbound carriageway at junction 4 to the M42 southbound carriageway will be closed overnight from 9.30pm to 5.00am from Monday 19 December 2011 to Tuesday 20 December 2011 for sign / signal repairs for Midlands TechMAC. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 5 (Droitwich Spa) to Junction 3 (Halesowen)
The northbound carriageway of the M5 between junction 5 and junction 3 (including the entry slip roads at junction 5 and junction 4 and the link road from the M42 westbound carriageway to the M5 northbound carriageway at junction 4a) will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 20 December 2011 to Wednesday 21 December 2011 for road marking works as part of ongoing major improvement works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 4 (Lydiate Ash)
The southbound carriageway of the M5 between the slip roads at junction 4 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Wednesday 21 December 2011 to Friday 23 December 2011 as part of ongoing major improvement works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 4 (Lydiate Ash) to Junction 4a (M5 / M42 Interchange)
The southbound carriageway of the M5 between junction 4 and junction 4a (including the entry slip road at junction 4) will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 3 January 2012 to Wednesday 1 February 2012 as part of ongoing major improvement works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M5 Junction 3 (Halesowen) to Junction 4a (M5 / M42 Interchange)
The southbound carriageway of the M5 between junction 3 and junction 4a (including the entry slip roads at junction 3 and junction 4) will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 19 December 2011 to Tuesday 20 December 2011 for road marking works as part of the ongoing major improvement works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M42 Junction 4 (Shirley) to Junction 3a (M42 / M40 Interchange)
The southbound carriageway of the M42 between junction 4 and junction 3a will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 5.00am from Wednesday 4 January 2012 to Monday 9 January 2012 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
M69 Junction 1 (Burbage) to A46 (M69 / M6 Interchange Ansty)
The southbound carriageway of the M69 between junction 1 and the M6 at junction 2 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 19 December 2011 to Tuesday 20 December 2011 for bridge repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A34 / M6 Junction 14 (Stafford North)
The westbound exit slip road of the A34 onto the A5013 at M6 junction 14 will be closed overnight from 10.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 19 December 2011 to Thursday 22 December 2011 for street lighting repairs. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A38 (Alrewas)
The northbound carriageway of the A38 at Alrewas will be closed overnight from 9.00pm to 6.00am from Monday 19 December 2011 to Friday 23 December 2011 for carriageway resurfacing and associated works. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A46 (Leek Wootton to Warwick)
The southbound carriageway of the A46 between Leek Wootton and Warwick will be closed overnight from 8.00pm to 6.00am from Tuesday 20 December 2011 to Wednesday 21 December 2011 for the installation of traffic sensors. A diversion route will be clearly signposted.
A49 Felhampton and Church Stretton
Drainage works are taking place on the A49 at Felhampton and Church Stretton between 6.00am and 3.30pm from Friday 16 December. Works are expected to be completed by the end of December. Three sets of two-way traffic lights will be in place for the duration of these works.
