Toyota and Lexus best for fleet satisfaction, poll reveals

Results from a new survey have recognised the efforts of Toyota and Lexus when it comes to serving fleet managers.

The annual Fleet Operator Attitude Survey, carried out by automotive researchers Sewells, ranks fleet satisfaction levels with supplying car manufacturers and their dealers with the Japanese brands coming out tops in 2011.

Ewan Shepherd, General Manager of Fleet Services, said: “We are delighted with the results from the Sewell’s survey, it is great that our efforts are being recognised by decision makers in the industry.

“As our recent conference proved, with the extra investment we are making, Fleet is now a major focus for 2012 and beyond.”

Highest rating

The independent survey highlights the popular belief that fleet customers’ biggest concerns are “quality, reliability, service, maintenance and repair costs” when choosing vehicles, areas in which Toyota evidently impresses after achieving the highest rating among ‘mainstream’ manufacturers for SMR costs.

Toyota was also commended for the quality and reliability of its vehicles.

It’s an admirable attribute the brand hopes to keep up too as Mr Shephard added: “We will be working hard over the next few years to make sure Toyota and Lexus Fleet meet the needs of our customers, offering an all-round, value service to business users and delivering innovative new products.”
