North East roadworks update 7 to 13 January 2012
A1, Jct 65 to Kingsway Interchange, Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Jct 65 and Kingsway Interchange for sign works. There will be lanes remaining open north and southbound from 10pm to 6am. The works will take place 9 – 12 January.
A1, Swalwell Interchange, Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Swalwell Interchange for CCTV maintenance works. There will be one lane open on the northbound exit slip road between 10pm and 5am. The works will take place 9 – 10 January.
A1, Blaydon Bridge, Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Blaydon Bridge for CCTV maintenance works. There will be one lane open northbound between 10pm and 5am. The works will take place 11 – 12 January.
A1, Metrocentre, Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at the Metrocentre for CCTV maintenance works. There will be one lane open on the southbound entry and northbound exit slip roads between 10pm and 6am. The works will take place southbound 9 – 10 January and northbound 10 – 11 January.
A1, Denton Burn, Western Bypass, Tyne & Wear
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Denton Burn for resurfacing works. There will be one lane open northbound between 10pm and 6am. The works will take place 9 – 10 January.
A1(M), Junction 62 to 63, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) between Junction 62 and 63 for lining works. There will be lane closures in place with hard shoulder running northbound from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 9 – 14 January.
A1(M), Junction 56, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 56 for bridge repair works. There will be lane closures in place northbound with hard shoulder running from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 9 – 13 January.
A1, Baldersby (Junction 50) to Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire
Slight delays are expected on the A1 between Baldersby (Junction 50) and Leeming Bar (A684) for upgrading works. There will be narrow lanes, a contraflow and a 50mph speed limit operating 24 hours for full length of scheme both north and southbound. Works will be ongoing until Spring 2012.
A1, Haggerston, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at Haggerston for footway construction works. There will be traffic signals and a 40mph speed restriction in place north and southbound from 8am to 4pm. The works will take place 9 – 20 January.
A1, Rennington to North Charlton, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Rennington and North Charlton for lining works. There will be carriageway closures, traffic signals and convoy working in operation with a 10mph speed restriction from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 9 – 18 January.
A66, Morton Palms to Little Burdon, Darlington, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 between the Morton Palms and Little Burdon roundabouts for lining works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place east and westbound from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 9 – 13 January.
A66, Spittal, Bowes, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 at Spittal, Bowes, for drainage works. There will be one lane open east and westbound from 8am to 6pm. The works will take place 9 – 12 January.
A66, Bowes, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 at Bowes for CCTV maintenance works. There will be one lane open eastbound from 8pm to 6am. The works will take place 10 – 11 January.
