Kia unveil new Cee’d
This is Kia’s new Cee’d which will go on show at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
After a number of design fiddles, both inside and out, the five-door hatchback is now longer, wider and lower than the outgoing model.
Information on the new Cee’d’s fuel consumption or performance are expected to follow with Kia preferring to highlight the cosmetic tweaks primarily.
The ‘tiger nose’ bonnet which has become synonymous with Kia is still present but that aside, the Cee’d’s entire exterior has undergone small but significant tweaks aimed to boost the model’s prestige and premium feel.
The Cee’d boasts a sweeping roofline and rear spoiler, steeply raked A-pillar, lower belt-line in the front and lengthened side windows, while wraparound headlamp clusters house signature LED daytime running lights.
Inside, the Cee’d features an improved switchgear, touch-screen technology and enhanced driving position ergonomics.
The dashboard fascia is now more focussed towards the drivers with the main control panel wrapping around the steering wheel and audio/air-conditioning controls now segregated to deliver a more premium, luxurious, big car feel.
The Geneva Motor Show opens 6 March.
