Motorists using the M5 near Worcester on 15 to 17 June are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys as the Three Counties Show is being staged at Malvern Showground from 15 to 17 June.
Frank Bird, Emergency Planning Officer for the Highways Agency in the West Midlands, said: "Motorists using the roads in the area during the Three Counties Show at Malvern Showground can help us to help them by planning their journey in advance and leaving extra time, as the roads in the area are likely to be busy. We will use our electronic message signs on approaching motorways to give drivers information about any diversions and delays, and provide up-to-the minute traffic information using local radio. Those with iPhones will be able to check the traffic conditions before they leave or when parked using our Highways Agency travel news app or can follow our Twitter feed at @HAtraffic_wmids."
Highways Agency Traffic Officers will be patrolling the motorways in the West Midlands to clear any incidents quickly, while staff at Highways Agency's West Midlands regional control centre will be monitoring the network via CCTV and other state-of-the-art technology to keep traffic moving.
