Highways Agency to resurface A46 south of Evesham

19 June 2012

The Highways Agency will be undertaking works to resurface the A46 in both directions between Ashton under Hill and Beckford in June. The work will also include the installation of new traffic signs and improving the pedestrian crossings at this location.

The works are due to start on Monday 25 June and will be completed in July. All activity will take place between 8pm and 7am to minimise disruption for road users.

During the works the A46 will be closed between Teddington Hands roundabout and the junction with Cheltenham Road. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

Laura Mobley, Highways Agency project manager, said:  "Once complete, the work will result in a quieter road surface and improved safety for road users. The work has been carefully planned to keep disruption to a minimum but I would advise drivers to check conditions and leave extra time for their journeys if necessary. We will endeavour to complete the works as quickly as possible."

For more information, motorists can contact the Highways Agency Information Line on 0300 123 5000.
