30 June - 6 July 2012 Do to the severe weather in the North East over the past 24 hours some of these planned works may be delayed. A1 Western Bypass, Dunston to Metrocentre, Tyne & Wear Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Dunston and the Metrocentre for replacement of electricity poles. There will be a full closure of the north and southbound carriageways with diversions in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 30 June - 1 July. A1 Western Bypass, Dunston to Metrocentre, Tyne & Wear Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Dunston and the Metrocentre for resurfacing works. There will be lane closures in place northbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 2 - 5 July. A1 Western Bypass, Wide Open to Seaton Burn, Tyne & Wear Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Wideopen and Seaton Burn for resurfacing works. There will be a full southbound carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 6 - 12 July. A1 Western Bypass, Birtley to North Brunton, Tyne & Wear Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 northbound between Birtley and North Brunton for inspection works. There will be lane closures in place moving northbound each night between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 3 July. A1(M) Junction 63, County Durham Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 63 for bridge works. There will be lane closures and slip closures with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 25 July. A1(M) Junction 63 - 64, County Durham Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) between Junction 63 and 64 for signal maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 5 - 6 July. A1 Scotch Corner, North Yorkshire Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Scotch Corner roundabout for resurfacing and bridge joint works. These works include lane closures and some slip road closures. Any closures will have clearly signed diversions in place. A speed 50mph speed restriction will be in place, reduced to 10mph where convoy working is in operation. All works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 2 July. A1 South Charlton, Northumberland Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at South Charlton for cabling works. There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 7 July. A1 Warenford to Hemphole, Northumberland Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Warenford and Hemphole for patching works. There will be convoy working in place north and southbound with a 10mph speed restriction between 8pm and 6pm. The works will take place 2 - 9 July. A19 Holystone Interchange, North Tyneside Slight delays are expected overnight on the A19 at Holystone Interchange for bridge works. There will be a full carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place southbound until 7 July. A66 Bowes to Cross Lanes, County Durham Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 between Bowes and Cross Lanes for pavement renewal, lining and studding works. There will be a contraflow in place, with all traffic on the westbound carriageway between 6am on 26 June and 8pm on 1 July. Further night time closures of the westbound carriageway (1 July) for the removal of the contraflow, and Eastbound (2 and 3 July) for additional resurfacing works will be required. Any closures will be carried out between 8pm and 6am only, with signed diversions in place. A66, Scotch Corner to end of first section of westbound dual carriageway, County Durham Slight delays are expected between Scotch Corner and the end of the first section of westbound dual carriageway for pavement renewal, lining and studding works. The works will take place between 5 July and 23 July. Phase one requires a contraflow in place between Scotch Corner and Hargill junction between 6am on 7 July to 6am on 12 July. Additional lane closures will be required on 5 and 6 July to install the contraflow. A66 Hulands to Cross Lanes, County Durham Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 between Hulands and Cross Lanes for survey works. There will be one lane open westbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 2 - 5 July.
