Work to improve safety at junction 10 of the M20 near Ashford in Kent starts next week.
The improvements will involve extending the high friction anti-skid surface on the coastbound exit slip road and increasing the lane markings across the roundabout to help drivers navigate the junction.
The work will start on Monday 2 July and is expected to last five nights. It will involve overnight slip road and lane closures.
Kevin Bown, Highways Agency Asset Manager said: "Safety is our top priority, the extended high friction surface will help reduce the risk of skidding on the exit slip road and the extra lane markings will help guide road users around the roundabout, therefore improving safety. The work has been carefully planned to minimise disruption, it will be carried out overnight, between 8pm and 6am, when traffic flows are lowest."
When the coastbound exit slip road is closed, road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 11.
The work is expected to be complete, weather permitting, on Friday.
