The Highways Agency is to undertake resurfacing works on the A458 near Shrewsbury, between Rowton and Churncote later this month.
The work will start on 9 July and will be completed within a week. Work will be undertaken overnight.
During the works, the A458 will be closed overnight from 10pm to 6am in both directions between Buttington Cross and Churncote Island. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted.
The eastbound diversion will take traffic from the junction with the A458 north on the A483 turning right onto the A5 heading south back to Churncote Island. Westbound Diversion will run in the opposite direction
During the day, there will be lane closures and traffic signals in place.
Jessica Kenny, Highways Agency Project Manager said: "We will do our utmost to complete the works as quickly as possible, avoiding disturbance and keeping noise to a minimum. Once complete, the work will result improved conditions for road users."
