Monday 9 July - Sunday 15 July 2012 A traffic management summary for both new and ongoing work The information provided in this report is correct as of the above date but could be subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. M25 Junction 27 to Junction 30 Main construction work to widen the M25 from three lanes to four between junctions 27 and 30 is complete. All four lanes are open to traffic in both directions at the national speed limit. The hard shoulder is available for emergency use. Overnight lane closures continue this week as required. M25 Cobham Motorway Service Area Work to build the slip roads which will serve a new motorway service area near junction 10 continues this week. From Monday morning, all narrow lanes will be removed, and the national speed limit will be restored. Work in the verge will continue, and a 300 metre section of the hard shoulder will be closed. The new service area is expected to open later this year. M4 Boston Manor Viaduct Vehicles weighing 7.5 tonnes or more are restricted from using the westbound M4 between junctions 1 and 3 and the eastbound M4 between junctions 3 and 2 while structural inspection and repair work continues on the Boston Manor Viaduct, just west of junction 2. A signed diversion route remains in place on the adjacent dual carriageways, the A312 and the A4. Overnight closures continue as required as the repair work progresses. M25 Junction 26 The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight for three nights from Monday 9 July between 11pm and 5.30am for structure maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 25. M25 Junction 30 The anti-clockwise exit slip road will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday 9 July between 10.30pm and 5.30am for resurfacing work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 junction 29 and return. M4 Junction 4B The westbound link road to the M25 in both directions will be closed overnight on Monday 9 July between 10pm and 5am for carriageway sweeping. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 5. M4 Junction 4B The eastbound link road to the M25 in both directions will be closed overnight on Tuesday 10 July between 10pm and 4am for carriageway sweeping. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 4. M4 Junction 4 The exit slip road and westbound spur road will be closed overnight on Wednesday 11 July between 10pm and 5am for carriageway sweeping. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 5. M4 Junction 4 The westbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Wednesday 11 July between 10pm and 5am for carriageway sweeping. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 5. M4 Junction 4 The eastbound entry slip road will be closed overnight on Thursday 12 July between 10pm and 5am for carriageway sweeping. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 3. M4 Junction 4 The eastbound exit slip road and spur road will be closed overnight on Thursday 12 July between 10pm and 5am for carriageway sweeping. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via junction 5. M4 Junction 1 - 4 Both carriageways and slip roads will be closed between junctions 1 and 4 overnight between 10pm and 5am from Monday 9 July until Thursday 12 July for structure work. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via local roads. M26 There will be a full eastbound carriageway closure between junctions 1 and 2a overnight for two nights from Monday 9 July, between 10pm and 5am each night, for routine maintenance. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via M25 Junction 3, M20 junction 2, A20 to M26 junction 2a. A1(M) There will be a full southbound carriageway closure between junction 4 and junction 1 including slip roads overnight for two nights from Monday 9 July, between 10.30pm and 5am each night, while resurfacing work is carried out. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via local roads to the M25 junction 23. A13 litter clearance Litter will be cleared from sections of the A13 in Essex this week, requiring various overnight slip road closures throughout the week. On Monday 9 July, the eastbound entry and exit slip roads from the A1012 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the M25 junction 30 roundabout and the A13 junction with the A126. On Wednesday 11 July, the eastbound and westbound link roads to the southbound A1089 will be closed overnight between 10pm and 5am. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A13 junctions with the A128 and the A1012 respectively. On Thursday 12 July the westbound entry and exit slip roads from the A1012 will be closed between 10pm and 5am. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A13 junction with the A128 and the M25 junction 30 roundabout respectively. On Friday 13 July, the eastbound entry slip road from the clockwise M25 at junction 30, and the westbound exit slip road to the anti-clockwise M25 Junction at 30 will be closed between 11pm and 5am Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the A13 and the A1306. A13 Resurfacing The eastbound link road from the A13 between junctions 31 and 30 on the anti-clockwise M25 will be closed overnight for two nights from Monday 9 July, between 10pm and 5.30am each night, while resurfacing work is carried out. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via A1306 westbound, A126, A13 to M25 junction 30. A316 Junction 1 The westbound exit slip road will be closed overnight for three nights from Monday 9 July, between 11pm and 5.30am each night, while resurfacing work is carried out. Road users will be directed to follow a fully signed diversion route via the M3 junction 2. A282 (M25) Dartford - Thurrock Crossing Date Time Closure detail 08-15/07 8.30pm to 5.30am Northbound West Tunnel 13/07 8.30pm to 5.30am Northbound East Tunnel A fully signposted diversion route will be in place for oversized vehicles for the northbound east tunnel closure.
