Following an incident on the M1 northbound between junction 14 and 15 this morning, the northbound carriageway has had to be closed between these junctions.
Diversion routes have been put in place. Motorists travelling northbound should take the A509 at Junction 14 of the M1, they should follow diversion signs showing a hollow diamond onto the A508 to rejoin the M1 at junction 15.
The Highways Agency is working with its contractors to fully re-open the road as soon as possible.
