North East roadworks update 21 – 27 July 2012

A1 Western Bypass, Eighton Lodge Interchange
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 at Eighton Lodge Interchange for bridge inspection works. There will be one lane open on the north and southbound exit slip roads between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 24 - 26 July.

A1 Western Bypass, Kenton Bar to Birtley
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1 between Kenton Bar and Birtley for gully cleaning works. There will be one lane open between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 21- 23 July southbound between Scotswood and Blaydon. 24 - 25 July northbound between Scotswood and Kenton Bar and southbound Lobley Hill to Birtley.

A1(M) Junction 57 - 58, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) between Junction 57 and 58 for bridge works. There will be lane closures in place with hard shoulder running between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 21 - 25 July.

A1(M) Junction 57, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1(M) at Junction 57 for signal maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and midnight. The works will take place 25 July

A1M Junction 60 - 61, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M between Junction 60 and 61 for signal maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 23 - 24 July.

A1M Junction 64 - 65, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A1M between Junction 64 and 65 for signal maintenance works. There will be one lane open north and southbound between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 23 - 24 July.

A1 North Charlton, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at North Charlton for access construction works. There will be traffic signals in place north and southbound between 8am and 5pm. The works will take place until 23 August.

A1 Stannington, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A1 at Stannington for resurfacing works. There will be a full northbound carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place until 23 - 28 July.

A66, Scotch Corner to end of first section of westbound dual carriageway, County Durham
Slight delays are expected between Scotch Corner and the end of the first section of westbound dual carriageway for pavement renewal, lining and studding works. The works will take place between 5 - 23 July. Phase 2 will follow with the contraflow in place between Hargill Junction and the end of the dual carriageway, with all traffic on the eastbound carriageway. This will be in place from 06:00 14 July to 06:00 20 July. No access to the A66 from Northbound traffic will be permitted via Hargill, Winston Cross Roads or Warreners Lane. Diversions via Richmond or Scotch Corner will be clearly signed.

A66M, Jct 57 to Blackwell, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66M between Jct 57 and Blackwell for resurfacing works. There will be a full eastbound carriageway closure with diversion in place between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 18 - 25 July.

A66, Greta Bridge, County Durham
Slight delays are expected overnight on the A66 at Greta Bridge for resurfacing works. There will be convoy working in operation westbound with a 10mph speed restriction between 8pm and 6am. The works will take place 20 - 23 July.

A66, Bowes, County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 at Bowes for sign works. There will be one lane open eastbound between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works will take place 27 July.

A66, Cumbrian Border to Smallways County Durham
Slight delays are expected on the A66 between the Cumbrian Border and Smallways for inspection works. There will be one lane open east and westbound moving east each day between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works will take place 23 - 27 July.

A696 Newcastle Airport Interchange, Northumberland
Slight delays are expected on the A696 for electrical works. There will be narrow lanes and lane closures in place on the roundabout and approaches between 9.30am and 3.30pm. The works will take place 23 - 25 July.
