Travel advice for road users in Dover

19 July 2012

Road users are reminded to allow extra time for journeys which may be affected by the torch relay evening celebration on Dover seafront this evening (Wednesday).

The A20 will be closed for approximately 30 minutes at three separate times - 6pm, 7.30pm and 11pm - to allow spectators to safely cross the A20 for the evening celebration. The speed limit has been reduced until after the evening celebration on the A20 between the M20 junction 13 and Aycliffe to 50mph to improve the traffic flow in Dover.

Road users are advised to check conditions before setting out and to allow extra time for their journeys if necessary.
