DERBYSHIRE
New: A38 Little Eaton to Palm Court
Lane one and sliproad closures together with a 50mph speed limit will be in place on both carriageways from Wednesday, 1 August to Wednesday, 15 August for signage works. When the northbound exit sliproad is closed traffic will be diverted north to the A38/A61 junction then return on the southbound carriageway to use the southbound exit sliproad. When the southbound exit sliproad is closed traffic will be diverted to the A38/A52 junction then return on the northbound carriageway to use that sliproad.
LEICESTERSHIRE
Ongoing: M1 J19/M6 Catthorpe Interchange
Between Monday, 30 July and Friday, 3 August there will be hard shoulder closures from 7am to 6pm to reinstate the embankments where the old viaduct once stood. This work will also require lanes one and two of the M1 northbound to be closed from 10pm to 8am on the nights of Friday, 3 and Saturday, 4 August. From Wednesday, 1 to Friday, 3 August there will be hard shoulder closures on the M6 southbound between 7am and 6pm for lighting inspection and testing works.
NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
New: A5 Kilsby to Weedon and Towcester
Severe delays are expected on the A5 between 9.30am and 3.30pm on Tuesday, 31 July and Wednesday, 1 August as the Godiva Awakes convoy passes through the area. The convoy is part of the Cultural Olympiad. Further information can be found at www.imagineerproductions.co.uk/content_links/6567/view
New: A45 Barnes Meadow
Overnight lane closures will be in place on the north and southbound exit sliproads from Monday, 30 July to Saturday, 11 August for junction improvement works. On each night the closures will be in place from 8pm to 6am the following morning.
NOTTINGHAMSHIRE
New: A1 Markham Moor to Elkesley
Lane one of the northbound carriageway will be closed for two nights from Monday, 30 July for emergency repairs to posts and signs. On both nights the lane closure will be in place from 8pm until 5am the following morning.
New: A1 Carlton-on-Trent to Tuxford
Lane one of the northbound carriageway will be closed from 8pm on Tuesday, 31 July until 6am the following morning for resurfacing works.
New: A1 Tuxford
Bridge inspection work will be carried out over two nights starting Monday, 30 July. Both carriageways will be affected. Lane two will be closed initially, switching to lane one later in the works. On each night the closures will be in place from 11pm to 6am the following morning.
New: A1 Markham Moor
The northbound exit sliproad at the Markham Moor junction will be closed for four nights starting on Wednesday, 1 August for maintenance works. The closure will be in place from 8pm to 6am each night. Diversions will be signposted.
Ongoing - A46 Newark to Widmerpool
Traffic is now running on all sections of the new A46 carriageway. Most of the dual carriageway has been opened to 70 mph running.
Some lane closures still required for planting, verge and surfacing works, and there are 40 mph speed restrictions in place on all approaches to A46 works areas. The old A46 between Saxondale and Margidunum remains closed in both directions to allow for the completion of the new roundabout at Margidunum Junction. During this time the slip road will be available for use. This stretch is due to re-open by late July 2012.
Road users are advised to follow road signs rather than rely on Sat Nav systems which will not have been updated with the new road layout at this stage
