Following the incident on the southbound carriageway of the M1 between Junctions 16 and 17 this morning, the Highways Agency has been working with the emergency services to clear the site and get the road safely open again.
The Highways Agency can confirm that the M1 southbound carriageway between Junctions 16 and 17 has now been re-opened and traffic is now able to move freely.
