Volvo hopes to offer full transparency to customers with the launch of a new car comparison tool.
Developed by CAP, ‘Volvo Compare’ lets users place any current Volvo model alongside up to four other vehicles from any brand available in the UK, revealing 16 different cost and feature specifications on-screen at the same time.
The unique vehicle registration mark look-up facility also allows them to bring up and assess any vehicle already on the road.
Volvo Compare will appeal to private buyers as much as company car drivers and fleet managers. Business drivers can compare Benefit In Kind tax costs while fleet car buyers can check differences in service, maintenance and repair costs, fuel consumption information and Vehicle Excise Duty rates.
Selwyn Cooper, Volvo Car UK’s National Corporate Operations Manager, commented: "Volvo Compare is a unique tool for both private and company car drivers. Its up-to-date market leading data will prove priceless for private buyers, fleet decision makers, and even fleet drivers - ultimately helping them make an informed decision on the vehicle or vehicles that will most benefit them and their company."
CAP CEO Ian Rendle said: "Volvo Compare is the perfect example of how CAP data and web services can be used innovatively to showcase a manufacturer's offering and unlock the potential for real business advantage.”
Mr Rendle added that CAP would continue to develop and improve the web-based tool over time.![]()
