The BMW Z4 has moved more towards grand tourer than the outright sports car of the previous generation. However, it’s still a sharp drive and is now easier to live with, especially in its most affordable form as the 2.0-litre sDrive20i.
Throw in combined fuel economy of more than 40.0mpg coupled to company driver friendly emissions of 159g/km that sneak under that all important 160g/km barrier, even if you choose the auto over the manual, and the entry-level Z4 is far from a humble starting point.
