The Road Haulage Association has revealed that the keynote speaker for its annual lunch will be Quentin Willson.
Willson, the co-host of BBC’s Top Gear for ten years and occasional column writer for the Sunday Mirror, will deliver a keynote speech at the RHA’s lunch on October 2at Grand Connaught Rooms in London's Covent Garden.
As one of the more well-known names behind the FairFuelUK campaign, the RHA pins him as an apt speaker for the event.
The RHA says the lunch offers an excellent opportunity to both entertain customers and network with industry peers.
A statement from the RHA reads: “Quentin was largely responsible for bringing the once-scandalously high price of new cars in the UK down to the same level as the rest of Europe.
“The RHA's Annual Lunch has become a firm fixture within the transport and logistics industry calendar.
“It presents the perfect opportunity to meet other key decision-makers from the road freight transport sector, government and the media and an opportunity to entertain your customers and to network with others in the industry.”
Proceedings kick off from 11.30am until 3pm on Tuesday 2 October 2012. Individual tickets for RHA members cost £105 or £1,000 for a table of 10. Non-members pay £135 or £1,300 for a table.
