LEICESTERSHIRE:

Ongoing: A5 Dodwells and Longshoot Junction

Various lane closures and a 40mph speed restriction will be in place until January 2013 for junction alteration works. Moderate delays are expected.

NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

New: A14 Junction 7

There will be lane closures on the east and westbound slip roads for two nights from Thursday, 16 August from 8pm to 5am each night for carriageway and road marking work.

Ongoing: A43 Blisworth

Moderate delays are expected on the A43 while bridge works are carried out. The work requires full overnight closures of the north carriageway from Saturday 11 to Wednesday 15 August. The closures will take place between 8pm and 6am and diversions will be clearly signed.

NOTTINGHAMSHIRE

New: A1 Markham Moor to Elkesley

Lane one of the northbound carriageway will be closed for two nights from Tuesday, 14 August for post and sign repairs. On each night the closure will be in place from 8pm to 5am.

Ongoing: A52 Elton

Temporary traffic lights will be in place overnight from Monday, 6 August to Friday, 7 September while bridge works are carried out. The work will be carried out between 8pm and 6am each night.

Ongoing - A46 Newark to Widmerpool

Some lane closures still required for planting, verge and surfacing works. Details below.

The old A46 between Saxondale and Margidunum remains closed in both directions to allow the completion of works on the old A46 to the south of Bingham Railway Bridge. During this time the slip road will be available for use. This stretch is due to re-open by mid August.


Road users are advised to follow road signs rather than rely on Sat Nav systems which will not have been updated with the new road layout at this stage

Work taking place this week includes:

Monday 13 to Wednesday 15 August - 24/7 lane closure on the southbound carriageway between Farndon Roundabout and Lodge Lane;

8pm Tuesday 14 to 6am Wednesday 15 August, overnight lane closure on the northbound carriageway between Widmerpool Junction and Roehoe Junction;

Tuesday 14 to Wednesday 15 August - 24/7 lane closure and hard shoulder closure on the northbound entry and exit slip road at Saxondale Junction;

8pm Thursday 16 to 6am Friday 17 August- overnight lane closure on the southbound carriageway at Owthorpe Junction;

Thursday 16 to Friday 17 August - 24/7 closures of the hard shoulders on the north and southbound approaches to Stragglethorpe Junction.
