Highways Agency: The Highways Agency is an executive agency of the Department for Transport (DfT), and is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the strategic road network in England on behalf of the Secretary of State for Transport. We are responsible for England's strategic road network - managing traffic, tackling congestion, informing road users, improving safety, minimising adverse impact on the environment and more. We offer a range of traffic information services covering the Highways Agency network. Where delays occur, planned or otherwise, we want to get you the information you need as quickly and easily as possible, to help you make informed decisions about your travel plans - especially when severe weather is likely.
