Fleet management company Arval has announced that a road safety video that the company produced in 2007 is going to be used by Royal Mail. The video was so realistic of a crash event that postal giant Royal Mail has confirmed that it will be using the video to support their own safety training with 190,000 of their employees. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents has launched a major research study aimed at helping young drivers to stay safe when they are on the road as part of their job. RoSPA’s Young Drivers at Work project is seeking the views of managers who employ 17-24-year-old drivers. RoSPA has announced that Elizabeth Lumsden will be taking on the new role of Community Safety Manager for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents in Scotland. This will see Lumsden combine her previous post of Home Safety Manager for Scotland with representing RoSPA on road safety issues in Scotland as well. To help fleets deal with the latest legislation in Corporate Manslaugher, RoSPA has announced that it will hold free road safety seminars. At the recent ACFO conference, members have been warned that driver training without implementing systematic changes to a business’s safety policy have only a short term impact. The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) announced today that drivers who passed their prestigious advanced driving test for “at-work” motorists now have the opportunity to upgrade their qualification free of charge.
